Herbivore Botanicals scandal 🍵

So apparently Herbivore Botanical's Bakuchiol serum does not actually contain Bakuchiol??? From what I gather the study to test bakuchiol claims was done by the supplier of bakuchiol, Sytheon. It seems like Herbivore's (reformulated) bakuchiol serum contains close to 0% bakuchiol, and not the 1% they claim. Instead, they have switched to an alternative called Psoralea Corylifolia extract, or Bakuchi oil, which seems to be cosmetically unsafe and contains high amounts of photosensitisers. It looks like HB had a falling out with Sytheon, and lacking access to bakuchiol extract, decided to reformulate with Psoralea Corylifolia extract.
