Dry/Sensitive
I don't have PCOS but an autoimmune thyroid disorder and many symptoms are the same.
Products can not help you that much as your hormones are out of hack.
First it is all about avoiding carbs, as PCOS patients tend to have higher rates of insulin resistance, it's recommended that they eat slightly fewer carbohydrates. That wil have a great effect in your overall health and therefore also your skin.
We have also a tendency to very dehydrated skin. Not normal dehydration but autoimmune hormonal dehydration. You need to add as much hydration as possible but also use nice moisturizers and occlusives to prevent water loss.
Then you have probably a thinner skin, so you will have yo be very careful with not compromising your skin barrier. Therefore you will experience more sensitivity than most. Even if you're not allergic to the products, they can be more sensitising.
And also, as many with hormonal issues, you might want to avoid some ingredients that are under suspicion for impacting hormonal health. EU is very aware of the problem and the European states and some consumer associations are constantly financing studies run in European universities or independent labs on certain ingredients: parabenes, phtalates, triclosan, dioxan... But also bisohenol in plastics and so on. Many avoid fragance and essential oils as well.
My Instagram account is all about products that work for autoimmune patients, og you want to check it out:
