Not really sure if its helpful but I use it to lighten some of my scars (body). 

Yes, some of the scars disappeared but some deep cuts did not. So please don't expect much. But from my experience, I guess I can tell that it did work for mild dog scratches. Btw I use the unscented one (color white) and it also says for scars in the package
