Retinol for late 20s + beginners

I’m in my late 20s and I have never used retinol before. I feel like my skin is ok and I have established a good routine. However, I do want to prevent aging as I am nearing my 30s. So I really want to incorporate retinol into my pm routine. Any suggestions on what retinol to use for beginners? Thanks!

I saw in the instagram from incicodercom that the inkey list retinol only contains 0,05 retinol but that is really low even for a newbie// i started with the retinol cream from elizavecca and even though i didn't know the percentage of retinol in it i bought it and it's very gentle it didn't irritate me nor my sister who has sensitive skin.

I’m grateful that you’re recommending me a product for sensitive skin. I have a very sensitive skin so I’m really scared to dive in to new products right away especially retinol. But I have to sooner or later since I’m nearing my 30s haha! Thank you so much. I’ll take a look at both of these products.

I would start slowly with a low percentage retinol. I would recommend the ordinary 0.2-0.5 retinol or 2% retinoids (they are more gentle then pure retinol) or inkey list retinol as it’s very good for beginners. Paula’s choice has a 0.3 percent with bakuchiol and it’s nice for beginners as well.

Thanks for the heads up! You’re right, beginners should always start with the lowest concentrate. I will look at each of these products that you recommended. ☺️
