cerave moisturizing cream… as eye cream?

So I don’t want to buy a separate eye cream because I don’t really have any specific concern right now, and I try to keep my routine minimal. But I was wondering if there’s any value in me using my cerave moisturizing cream as an eye cream? Any potential downsides? I have combo normal/oily skin (adapalene is has been toning down my oil production) so my current moisturizer is the rovectin lotus water cream, and I’ll use the cerave cream every once in a while if I’m feeling dry.
