Paula’s choice BHA - purging

I just bought paula’s choice bha, and started to see my skin having some acne at places ive rarely seen; my jawline and forehead. Im confused whether its purging or my skin does not react well with it. I have normal to dry skin and used it twice a week night routine. Usually i left it for around 15 minutes before continuing my routine. I just wanna ask did anyone experience any kind of purging using this? Since it was dubbed by many as holy grail, im hoping this is just a purging phase. Now i stopped using it, hoping to read some of your experince using it ☺️

I experience this too. For first month it give me purging with some pimple and tiny bumps pop out (not so bad actually) At the second month I think my skin start to used those toner.. But as long I used it, I can't feel and see any improvement on my skin. I think the acid just too strong for my skin

if u saw acne start appear at the spot that u rarely have any acne, that might be breakout instead of purging. purging usually last 4-8 weeks & it goes off fast & purging usually appears that the spot that u would have acne but not new spot. imo, that product might not suits u, rmb what works for others may not works for u & vie versa 😊😊😊

I believe the product may be too strong for your skin. 2% salicylic acid is the highest percentage for this ingredient and personally for me, too strong. I recommend willow bark extract. It is a gentle form of salicylic acid.
