That happened to me with a toner. I was experiencing a lot of irritation and more acne after using that toner once.
It is better to do a patch test/ spot test to see how your skin reacts to the product. I donโt do them often because my skin isnโt to sensitive but it is better to be safe.

Yeah, I should've done that first, my bad. I guess I just forget the word โจpatch testโจ whenever I buy new skin care products, like seriously. Maybe I should tattoo that word on my arm to remember to patch test with new products always ๐ญ๐

Sorry to hear about this bad experience! Didn't try this product, and I'm seeing more and more people who had bad reactions to it ๐ญ

I actually really liked this gel cream! recently Iโve stopped use because idk why but I feel like itโs really siliconey all of a sudden - I was aware of the silicones but it only just occurred to me how it really feels, and perhaps it was clogging my skin since I was suffering with some tiny bumps. I still do use it on irriated patches and it works great!

it could be the essential oils since they are the most common irritant? The bergamot fruit oil and the linalool and limonene gives it the nice smell but I honestly like to avoid when my skin is already irritated

A patch test is when you test a new product on a specific part of your face to see how your skin reacts. Sometimes it could be on one side of your cheek, maybe arm, etc.
