Hi! Glycolic acid and retinol both helps in increasing cell turnover but in a slightly different ways which makes them complementary!
But the ph level of these two actives are very different and your skin might get too irritated and dry as both of these ingredients penetrates deeply into the skin.
So, its necessary to know what your concerns are and patch test first if you want to layer them.
But personally i feel you can just use one at a time.

Not in the same routine. If you must, you can use glycolic acid in the morning, and retinol at night. They are both strong actives and using them together will likely result to overexfoliation, especially if your skin is not resistant to acids.

Use them on alternate days at fist so you won't over exfoliate and then see how your skin feels.

I'm also currently using skincare with retinol and glycolic acid .. maybe it's still safe when the concentration is low .. I usually use it 2 times a week, or maybe you can test it for 2 times use, see how the reaction on your skin .

No you can’t use them in the same PM routine but you can use them on alternate nights. Restrict glycolic acid use to 2-3 times a week maximum in the PM and don’t forget SPF 30+ during the day as it makes your skin photosensitive. With retinol start with a low strength, slowly I.e. once a week for 1 week, twice a week for the next week and so on until you build up to using every night EXCEPT on nights you use the glycolic acid. It’s UV unstable so wearing it during the day is pointless since UV breaks it down.
