I think I'm now allergic to Cica 😱

Cica is a well known skincare ingredient that reduces redness, its also good for sensitive skin. But I keep noticing that whenever I use a cica moisturizer/cream, it gives my skin a slight burning sensation. I'm not sure how to process this experience as my skin loves cica before. It only started happening when I turned 23 yrs old. Is it just a coincidence? Or am I really now allergic to cica? 😢 Update: I used a cica sheet mask, my skin turned out fine. Then I used Labno's Cicaloe Soothing Cream then just seconds after application, my skin was tingling and I felt a burning sensation. I really need to do a patch test first for cica products..

I guess you have try other products with Cica to find out. It could be the formula of this particular Cica that causes that burning sensation. I have a few products that feels warm in the skin but it goes away after a while, if it stay warm, tingling or burning for a long time then I had to wash it off.

I was thinking the same thing, that's why I tried another product with cica in it and my skin had the same reaction.. Maybe for now I'll just stay away from this ingredient. 😢

Which cica cream were you using? Is it just the one product that you notice this sensation? Or are there multiple products contacting coca that do this for you? If you haven't had an issue with Cica before, and it's just this one product that is causing issues, then it could possibly be another ingredient altogether that is causing irritation.

I forget to state on my post that I used a different product with cica in it just to test it out but my skin had the same reaction.. I'm planning to try it again tonight 😢 I'm just not fully ready to let go cica, it has helped my skin so much before..

Ya its because your skin turn over to that ingredients . And you need to find another formulation from other products . But if all products remains the same so ya your skin really hate that Cica 😅

This could be a coincidence. I have used this specific one, and it gives me a burning sensation for some reason, but that tingling dies down after a couple of seconds. But i have tried the entire line of this brand and i react solely to this product. ( except the cleansing oil, i had a brief issue with that one ) Another thing is that when i switched my actives or if i introduce a new active, i will experience a bout of sensitivity, some of my products will sting regardless of how long i have been usibg them. Normally i wouod rest them for a bit ( 2 or 3 days of minimal routine ) and it will be fine once i reintroduce it.
