Adapalene

I have always used this product as a spot treatment but I was wondering if this would be fine to use one my whole face or some full areas because my dermontologist recommended this for my acne but didn't describe how I should use it, i don't think it made any difference in my acne.

Hi! I used this for a long time and my dermatologist didn't really said anything either! I was about 13 back then and I used it on my whole face! I don't recommend that at all! It will dry your skin out and you'll get permanent wrinkles of expression! I also didn't use SPF, but I definitely should. Please only put it in the spots. Sometimes I think it doesn't work for me either, but with time, results show 😊 Be consistent about it and hydrate your face a lot while using it!

Yes, you can use it on your whole face 🥰 i would be careful and start slowly, preferably twice a week for the first two/three weeks, then you can try using it every other day if your skin doesn’t react badly. However, as it is a strong retinoid - you may experience purging, basically more acne then usual, for the first few weeks, or more dryness. That is normal. If you experience burning, itchiness, redness or anything unpleasant like that, then that’s irritation and i would consult your derm☺️ If you worry about any side effects of this medication, the best way to start is to put it on your moisturizer or in a sandwich method. After cleansing you put on moisturizer, then adapalene, then one more layer of moisturizer. That should minimize the dryness or any side effects you might have.💙 also, wearing sunscreen everyday is crucial, because your skin is more prone to uv damage when on retinol😣 Just remember that slow and steady wins the race, so don’t put too much too frequently until your skin is ready and used to differin 🥰 also, it usually takes up to three months to see the difference with retinols, so it may take a while before you see results, but it’s worth it 💙 don’t forget it’s a medication and if you have any concerns, your derm is the best person to contact 🙏🏻

Adapalene is meant to be used on the entire face rather as a spot treatment to get full benefit. I would suggest applying moisturizer first, wait 5-15 minutes, then apply onto entire face, then moisturize again to prevent over dying or sensitizing your skin. I would also apply it only 2-3x a week to start off.

I love this product! Yes, you can use this on whole face just don't apply near your eyes and mouth (orifices). A pea size is enough for whole face. Remember to apply a thin layer only. Result from retinoids usually takes 3 months, but it varies for every skin.

Yes you definitely can use it on your entire face! Adapalene is meant to be used on your full face. It has anti acne and anti aging benefits. I recommend starting out slowly since it is a strong active. I suggest using the "sandwich method". Apply moisturizer first and wait for it to sink into your skin, apply the gel, and apply moisturizer again. This reduces the irritation but you get the full effect of Adapalene. I'd recommend using it twice a week first. Then increase it to every other day slowly. Make sure you're wearing sunscreen daily and reapplying it every 2 hours. You will go through a purging period but it should be better after 6-8 weeks. Hope this helps! ❤️
