dear klairs supple preparation toner (scented vs. unscented)

Hi! So I've been using the Dear, Klairs supple preparation facial toner for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! I'm not someone who usually likes scented anything but I have to say I'm obsessed with how this smells 🥺. Before I repurchase I just wanted some opinions on the negative effects of fragrance in products and whether or not I should switch to the unscented toner instead.

I have finished my full bottle of the unscented toner and some sachets of the other one. they recommend the unscented for acne prone and sensitive skin as the fragrance may irritate the skin. regarding the consistency is pretty much the same.

Honestly I’ve tried both and the difference is just the scent. I’m personally not a big fan of the essential oils smell so the unscented one is better for me. But if your skin can take it and if you enjoy it, then keep using the original one

Yes, fragrance can lead to allergic reactin on your skin but like other ingredients, fragrance is complicated and entirely dependent on your skin. I recommend to do some research, such doing patch test. After all you can always choose anything that suits you and you skin’s need whether its fragrance-free or not. As long as it doesn’t iritate your skin.

Hi too! As for scented, it may depend on the individual, because each skin has its own sensitivity level. Apart from the skin, smell may be a consideration when switching to products that contain scent. Are our noses sensitive to certain scents or vice versa? because I am also a user who unscented and I hope you can try the scented variant out of curiosity about the scent (+ my skin is not very sensitive to scented products)

that's a very good pointed about our sense of smell. I normally purchases unscented products and avoid fragrances. I was sent this product by accident and when I first used it I was worried about the fragrance but was surprised to see that my skin took to it well! thank you for your input! 😊

they're pretty much the same thing except one has fragrance oils in it! I just love the smell of the scented one, so Im wondering if I can get away with continuing to use the scented one or if the negative impacts of essential oils are too impactful that I should switch to the unscented one
