When using acne treatments, would applying products after reduce the effectiveness of the treatment?

if your doctor has told you to apply moisturiser afterwards, then I think you should! moisturiser helps to lock in moisture and helps other products to absorb into the skin. it won’t make the treatment less effective if you’ve applied it first 💗

I don't think applying moisturiser after will make it less effective. Let it absorb, let it set as instructed. Once absorbed into your skin, it should work. :) As above comment said, moisturiser can help lock in the product and moisture. It is important to ensure your skin won't be dry so it can be healthy. Some acne treatments can also potentially be drying, so moisturiser is even more important then and will be helpful to counteract any drying effects.!
