what causes small bumps on your face?

my biggest concern right now is that i keep getting small bumps on my cheeks and on my forehead. they’re actually almost unnoticeable because they’re very tiny but i get kinda annoyed whenever i notice them 😅 it’s possibly a reaction from a product that i’m using but i’m not entirely sure. can you guys share which ingredients/products usually cause small bumps on your face?

I get small bumps when I use retinol or acids, simply skin purging. If it’s possibly the same, I find that they go away really quickly but I know what you mean re annoying

sometimes I get them when my skin barrier is damaged and I take it as a hint that I need to back off on products and focus on soothing hydrating ones for a week.
