Dry/Sensitive
While certain alcohols can be irritating alone, it is essential to consider the overall formulation of the product rather than avoiding it altogether simply because of one ingredient. Some products contain drying alcohols, such as denatured alcohol, however, they also have other moisturizing and hydrating ingredients to combat the drying effects. Since most of us arenโt chemists, it is recommended to try the product first and see what reaction it has on the skin. Lastly, everyoneโs skin is different so experiment and use whatโs best for you. Hope this helps๐

this! it's important to know what potentially irritating ingredients are in a product, especially if you have bad reactions to specific ones, but I'm pretty tired of every ingredient being demonized when they are in a product for a reason. companies aren't throwing these ingredients in just for fun, they serve a purpose. if it's a good brand they're going to take great care in formulating their products so that the offending ingredient does what it's there to do without causing other problems. there will always be some of us who will react to some things no matter the formula (I'm part of the sensitive skin crew, I know firsthand), but that doesn't mean it's a horrible ingredient no one should ever use. it just means it isn't right for you, personally.

I've tried sunscreens with alcohol and it never reacts well with my skin. I can see that people love the blue Biore one but I won't risk it causing a reaction to my skin.

That's right, many people suggest to use Biore, but most of them contain alcohol ๐ญ
