I think it's because it's the most easy to find products 🤣 It's also considered drugstore (not where I am tho oof) so people new to skincare would definitely try those brands first.

I don’t mind cerave, but definitely not my favourite. I’ve also never tried cetaphil, my 14 year old sister uses cetaphil as it’s supposed to be very gentle and she’s quite young so needed something basic - but it hasn’t made any difference to her skin really 💗

Agreed! They aren't necessarily bad products or have horrible ingredient lists, but I don't find them anything special or unique either.

Last time I used a cerave cleanser, I had breakouts 😂 For cetaphil, I used their body lotions some years ago, I kinda don't like the feeling though. 😢 I guess it did not go well with me though. But some people also have good experiences. 😅

you're not alone! CeraVe is...😑...as i said in another discussion, CeraVe is lucky Tiktokers are hyping this brand non stop...
Cetaphil is a hit or miss brand for me.
Both of these brands are not the ones i would recommend even if they're considered "affordable".
