Why so much Fragrance?

Does anyone else hate tht the most expensive brands all add an insane amount of fragrance to their products? There are so many I love the texture and what they do but then the fragrances make me sneeze and I break out in a rash!

Skincare is also about the experience as a whole, and many people enjoy nice smelling products for that sensorial and maybe even luxurious experience. I think it would just be better if more brands came out with fragrance free options like Purito because while I opt for products that are fragrance free, there are products that smell really good to me, yet don't irritate me, and just heighten the overall experience as I'm doing my routine.

People like nice smelling stuff therefore it sells. I personally don't use anything with fragrance or essential oils in it because they have no purpose in skincare and can only cause irritation

The whole point of luxury skincare is to sell a spa-like, sensorial experience. Which is why I love drugstore skincare, typically fragrance-free and affordable.
