If it’s one question we all see often, it’s this: how do I reduce the appearance of my pores? It’s safe to say a lot of us have had or are having this issue! ✨ WHY do we get enlarged pores? ▶️ mostly, the size of our pores are genetic, this is important to remember so that we don’t compare our skin to everyone else’s without keeping in mind that everyone’s starting point is different! ▶️ lack of proper cleaning of the skin. The more dirt, dead skin and sebum that collects in your pores, the larger they will appear ▶️ increased sebum production, especially for people with oily skin or those that are over-cleansing their skin ▶️ reduced elasticity of the skin, this can for example naturally occur with age ✨ WHAT can be done to reduce the appearance of pores? ▶️ always start your night routine by double cleansing - first with an oil based cleanser, then with a water-based cleanser ▶️ exfoliation with BHA (or whichever chemical exfoliating product works best for you). This way you will be able to remove dead skin cells before they start clogging the pores ▶️ niaciamide - for me, this has been what have made the most difference combined with BHA! It levels out the oil production in your skin, making your pores less clogged and therefore appearing smaller ▶️ SPF! SPF! SPF! What are your holy grails for pore control?
