the one reason that I could think of is maybe ur skin couldn’t tolerate such high % of centella asiatica as this ampoule stated that the ingredient is 100% cica extract. it’s common I would say as even such calming & gentle ingredient might not for everyone too 😢😢

I've read somewhere that the process of extraction can do that. If they used alcohol in extraction of centella it could be a tad bit aggressive for the skin. I'm not saying it does contain alcohol but that the alcohol has been used in the process of extraction. I'm not a chemist though so I don't really know much about it, just a thing I've read here or on Reddit 😅

This is very interesting, thanks for sharing! This might explain why some products with one ingredient cause issues while others with the same ingredient don't. I wonder if companies will be willing to disclose their extraction methods, or if they should so people can avoid certain extraction ingredients if they're allergic etc.

I’ll be looking out for that! My patch test is okay, but I’m on the third day of the toner and plan to add the ampoule into my routine tomorrow. Did you add both at the same time?

Oh, okay. I hope it was just a fluke and it turns out you can use it, but everybody’s skin doesn’t like everything. I’ve even developed reactions to products I’ve used before, so better disappointed than broken out. Fingers crossed for you!

have you ever tried any centella product before? it's kinda rare for someone experiencing breakout because of centella, moreover bcs this product contains only centella (100% centella extract) that supposed to calms skin
