they are both used for different things, so it really depends on what your skin needs. think of a sheet mask as a serum and a sleeping mask as a thick night cream. so if you really need the extra hydration you can easily use both. obviously that depends on what the sheet mask has an ingredients. it's all relevant to your skin type and what it needs.

for my oily skin I prefer sheet masks as overnight masks are too oclusibe for me
