what does centella actually do?

in my skin it helps with calming my acne scar and i feel my skin smoother than before

for me it helps for calming my acne dan also hydration

Centella Asiatica is a great ingredient to calm your skin but it also works great on blood circulation and it makes blood vessels stronger. It's a source of triterpenoid saponins like madecassoside, asiatic acid, asiaticoside - these ingredients are also to be found in skincare as single ingredients. It's also a source of flavonoids, minerals and vitamins. It works as an antioxidant so it kills free radicals, helps with damage made by UVB radiation and environment. It soothes your skin, speeds up wound healing because of its anti-inflammatory properties. It can help with moisture and... It has great effect on cellulite. The only thing I have to mention - it's weird for an ampoule to have such concentration of centella asiatica as skin1004 claims, but it depends on country, some ingredients do not have to be mentioned in INCI if its amount is smaller than 0,01.
