Calamine can be helpful - especially products like mizon blemish pink spot. Alcohol is drying but I do not recommend using drying ingredients - acne is an inflammation it's better to use calamine, tea tree oil (diluted), centella asiatica, etc to calm the irritation. Klairs Midnight Blue Cream can be helpful with active acne.

Salicylic acid is my favorite! I use it in the morning, but even if I have active acne I always moisturize. If you dry out your skin too much it can lead to more problems!
