Snail mucin vs ceramide to repair skin barrier

Does snail mucin repair skin barrier? If it does, which ingredient is better in repair skin barrier? Snail mucin or ceramides? I know ceramides can repair skin barrier, it’s just that I would like to try this Iunik Black Snail Restore Cream.

Hello, lovely! I’ve been using Cosrx Snail Mucin for past 2 years and currently I’m on my 6th or 7th bottle😂 Just sharing my personal experience with Snail Mucin. Snail Mucin does helped to improve my overall skin texture in a long run. Meaning, after using it consistently for twice a day, I did notice improvement after a month or two. In short, it takes time and consistent application to see the gradual difference if you’re planning to use Snail Mucin for skin texture improvement. And Cosrx Snail Mucin has been my HG skincare product since then🙌🏻☺️

I have never heard about snail mucin does repair skin barrier like ceramides do, it is well-known to help with skin texture concern instead.

@SkincareVirgin Ceramides are still good to use even if your skin barrier is now intact, because our skin makes less ceramides each year after 25 (I think, it's sometime in our 20s). So our skin barrier becomes less strong the older we got. If you want to maintain your skin barrier, ceramides would be good to use for prevention, but other than that you don't necessarily *need* it.
