Exfoliating tips plis

OK guys! I’m a baby when it comes to skincare. I have no idea what my skin type is until the picky quiz last month. my only skincare product/ routine used to just be a facial cleanser and toner of what ever is on the sink. SO I’m basically starting from scratch, very eager to explore. I’m thinking to start exfoliating my face, what do you guys think of: facial cleanser, cosrx aha bha toner (assuming it’s a leave on exfoliant) then layer it with I’m from’s mugwort cream (I hear that exfoliating can cause redness). For PM routine What’s your experiences with exfoliating?
