I think it depends more on the concern your skin's experiencing, as the two are used to target different concern.

dont they have different purposes tho? hyaluronic acid is a hydrating ingredient while alpha arubutin helps with brightening and uneven skintone.
Rather than skintype.. it think it depends more on what u wanna target.

HA is a humectant or water magnet just for hydration and plumping the skin
Alpha Arbutin is a tyrosinase inhibitor used for treating hyperpigmentation
Depends on your skin concerns…that will determine which one you choose

they are actually different and it depends on what skin concern you would like to target, hyaluronic is great for hydration coz it can carry and hold water upto a thousand times its weight so it will be great if you want to target dehydrated skin or you simply want to maintain your skin plump and hydrated

as for alpha arbutin it works great in fading dark spots and hyperpigmentations just like niacinamide.
