If I'm not mistaken, citric acid is an exfoliating ingredient that is commonly found in beauty products, usually as a buffer in the ingredients as well, which has many benefits, but maybe some people with very sensitive skin may have redness or a burning sensation after using it.

I may be wrong but I think your skin has been stripped and dehydrated. Which I'd agree with the comment below is likely to be from the soap ingredient.
If it was citric acid, you'd be more likely to see the reaction after the first use. Whilst the soap slowly strips the moisture.
Cleansing is the harshest most stripping skincare routine step, so you want to make sure that you're not overdoing it by using a very drying product.
