AHA, BHA & PHA

Hi guys I would like to ask if it's necessary to include AHA, BHA & PHA in our routine. I just came back from dermatologist to find out I have thin skin barrier & hypersensitive skin, I cannot use any of the mentioned acid & all exfoliant acid (I can try but have to use with caution & have to start very slow) . As I was still new to skincare, I tried the miracle cream and it caused my skin barrier damaged & I am now suffering with skin irritation for months now due to three acids in the product. How do I add on these acid in the future if I would like to exfoliate my skin? Please help!

I don’t think it is necessary to include it everyday routine. AHA, BHA & PHA are exfoliant so you shouldn’t be using them everyday unless it is a very low percentage and your skin can take it. From the looks of it, your skin can’t take this much. Listen to your dermatologist and stop using for now. In the future, start slow, once a week is good enough. Only use it when you need to exfoliate. :) We have very sensitive skin, so we really need to becareful and listen to our skin.

I have very sensitive skin too. I think you should focus on repairing your skin barrier. use calming and soothing products. avoid products that contains alcohol. I think for this cream, I think you should stop temporarily. if you really wanna use exfoliant products, you can use PHA as is the most gentle and suitable for sensitive skin.
