I love in very humid climate too, sometimes sunscreen is enough for me for the day time, sometimes I use a very thin layer of light gel moisturiser…
but for night time I opt for something more protective and thick… (I turned on AC at night during summer)

I'm from the PH, I agree that it really gets humid here and layering skin care seems like a hassle, but I believe that moisturizing the face has its benefits, lol.
You just have to opt for products with a lightweight feel on the face and doesn't leave that greasy feel. Gel based moisturizers are good for a climate like ours, I used to use the Celeteque moisturizer years ago it was a good hydrating moisturizer during the day.
I prefer moisturizers with a thicker consistency at night.

Yes moisturiser is quite important even though we live in humid climates, but if you find normal moisturiser too heavy on your skin, you can give gel moisturisers a try! they are very cooling and lightweight on the skin :)
I used to not use moisturisers at all in my routine cause I thought it will make my face more oily but I was wrong, moisturisers did change my skin & thankfully I chose the right moisturisers.

It's more for the added benefits and locking in hydration and moisture.

as someone who's living on equator, it's a bit hard to find right moisturizer, since it feels like hot & humid. even if I live in humid country & my skin type is oily, I still need moisturizer to lock the moisture & hydration. I prefer lightweight moisturizer with gel or gel cream or water cream consistency because they won't leave greasy feeling on my skin. however I love to have facial oil on my pm routine bcs it gives instant moisture & tons of benefit.
