In general, fungal acne is a marketing hoax - it's not that likely to get fungal infection, to diagnose fungal infection you should visit a dermatologist and get skin tested under a microscope (dermatologist will probably scrap a bit of skin - don't worry it's gentle, it doesnt leave a scar and then diagnose skin under the microscope). What I see as an esthetician are closed comodones. What you can do with them?
- using BHA & AHA should help the skin, in your case try to find solutions with both
- Tretinoin/retinoin
- Azelaic Acid
- Benzoyl peroxide
All these treatments will probably cause some purging at the beginning, don't be scared, effects are visible after 3 months usually. I also recommend Aklief which is 4th gen retinoid but not every country has it available yet.
What you can do at esthetician's office?
- Microdermabrassion
- Chemical peel
Personally, I would say try doing anthing on your own, since chemicals peels used by pros are stronger and sometimes it's better to just go for retinoids instead of doing microdremabrassion.
