Is my routine okay to target closed comedones on forehead?

Im trying to keep it simple with my routine. I used bha only on my forehead because of closed comedones. Sometimes i switch to 9% for stubborn acne. Differin is prescribed from my dermatologist, just started using it.. will alternate differin and bha usage. For both bha and differin, i used them only on my forehead, as thats my main concern. Am i using it correctly? When will i see result in gettinf rid of thise comedones? (Used to have comedones free but out of sudden so many bumps)

Yes i personally think ur routine is okay 😍😍 Just rmb that don’t over exfoliate & focus more on hydration, soothing & moisturising since bha & differin could be drying to the skin. Be patient & believe In urself, ur skin will heal one day !! ❤️❤️

If you’re new to differin, you can use 1-2x a week and you might experience purging too

I think she should stick to what her dermatologist said and use it as perscribed 🥰

It can take up to 3 months to see results. Your routine seems fine, but have you consulted your dermatologist about using bha with differin? Also, how many times a week did they prescribe you use the differin? If they prescribed it for daily use, then it’s better to not alternate between bha and differin and stick to differin. Also, if your derm perscribed differin and didn’t say anything about using bha, then it would probably be best to not use them while an differin. Both differin and bha are great at treating closed comedones. I would be very careful about over exfoliating as over exfoliation may cause acne/closed comedones to appear. Especially the 9% salicylic acid seems very high - I don’t know where you live, but in EU it would not be considered a cosmetic as it is a few times the maximum amount you could get without the prescription, so i would be extremely careful with it.

It's looks good but there are some drying products ther w and you already have dry skin, so I will try to get a thicker cream than the Cetaphil, just in case. When starting retinoid your skin can get quite dry in the beginning.
