Would I purge again?

Question

So I’ve used adapalene for almost a year to help me combat my acne, but I felt like it wasn’t working so I stopped using it on August this year.

Recently, I went to see my derm and she prescribed me epiduo together with doxycycline.

Just curious, am I going to purge again when I start using the epiduo?

I think yes, from my own experience - even if I used retinol few months ago, once I came back to other actives after summer break my skin went back to purging.

probably yes, this time make sure to follow your derm's prescription so you wont repeat the cycle of purging -healing-purging-healing so on. patience and consistency 😊 hope you will get your dream progress soon
