Retinols/retinoids for pitted acne scars?

Hi friends! I'd like some advice and opinion on this matter. I've searched quite a good amount of info about retinols/retinoids and for the most part, it's said to mainly target anti-aging. However, I have heard its benefits towards pitted scarring but only a small handful of it. I'd like to hear anyone's insight on this, maybe even if anyone has experience dealing with pitted scars using retinols/retinoids.

Retinoids and peeling solutions can help with some scars, maybe soften them a bit over time. But anything slightly deeper would need to be treated by a specialist, topical skincare can only do so much sadly

I suffer from pitted scars too and sadly, only laser treatments can really help with resurfacing deep scars. No skincare can do that as they can only help smooth/soften textures to a certain extent.
