topical collagen is good for hydration but there’s no long term benefits for it since collagen is too large a protein to penetrate the cells
ingested collagen is a fad created by businesses to basically rob your money. there is no scientific study that proves its effectiveness. ingesting collagen is the same as to eating anything with proteins bc that’s what our body does to it. it does not directly target our skin but the body as a whole. but if you’re already eating a balanced diet with sufficient protein intake, it’s pretty much useless bc excess proteins are converted to carbs and fats.

I'm taking a supplement. I have too many things going on in my skincare and i changed them a bit too often ( due to reviews ) and collagen requires consistent skincare use which i can't give.
Some dr. also said that collagen doesn't work by just simply slathering it on top of your skin.

each of them has different function. either one of them can’t replace another one. there’s a difference in consuming it or applying in on skin but so far for now ,there’s isn’t much studies that prove taking Collagen will helps with skin elasticity, prevent aging etc 😀😀
