Is it important? No definitely not! But if you're having a specific skin concern (like dehydration) it is definitely nice to have a hydrating essence/ serum.

I think no, sometimes essence like a serums, sometimes essence like a moisturizer. I have essence product, i feel this essence from Benton Snail be better more than serums.

nope, not important. there are different kinds of essence, and i only use it when my skin would be craving for it. i usually apply calming and soothing essence when my skin would get itchy and irritated

no. i think people use essence as a substitution for thicker serum. essence are much lighter in consistency. but, nowadays a lot of serum are watery and absorb easily on skin. i sometimes use essence too when i feel not necessarily to apply serum, which incorporate in toner.

Dry/Resilient

I always use an essence due to having very dry skin but an essence can also be used as a serum
