hormonal acne

i’ve heard about the term hormonal acne all the time and sadly i can relate to it so much!!! i was so happy when my skin started clearing although i still deal with PIE but currently i’m dealing w hormonal acne which i get every month so i get very bad pastule acne on my chin and cheek when my period is near but i never know how to treat them properly. should i just leave it be and do my usual daily routine or should i do a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide twice a day bc i only trust bp as my spot treatment since i’ve been using it for years but i’m scared i’d overtreat it. what do you guys think?
