question about CommonLabs ?!

Happy Friday skincare fam, I have a question about CommonLabs Calming VitE ampoule…. It says on picky (see pic) that it’s fragrance free but the reviews I read say there’s a tea tree scent, so whic is correct ⁉️ Is it meaning that it’s a natural scent of tea tree so no added fragrance or is it just incorrect that it’s marked as fragrance free? If anyone can confirm/ explain thing, it’s greatly appreciated & thanks in advance Also who else won the CommonLabs giveaway ✅✳️? I did, so far my only disappointment is it’s not cruelty free💔🐰 Happy weekend, Michelle 💚

It's definitely fragrance free. As in no added fragrance. This can be seen in the ingredient list where there is no fragrance or parfum labelled. The scent comes from the tea tree extract which is the first ingredient, as well as the tea tree essential oil and other plant extracts in the middle of the list. Plant extracts and essential oils are labelled or classified differently from artificial fragrance. So technically it's fragrance free, but it still has a smell to it which is from the tea tree ☺

Since tea tree is one of its helping ingredients I’d expect it to smell at least a bit like that, but maybe because it’s used for its benefits not it’s scent they can still claim “fragrance free” 😜

All plant extracts (tea tree in this specific product) can be considered as fragrances, but usually if an ingredients list does not list the word "fragrance", it is usually considered fragrance-free. So it depends on what you would consider as fragrance.
