I think the biggest maskne preventative is wearing a CLEAN mask. Otherwise youβre just holding all of that dirt, oil & bacteria on to your skin for however long you wear your mask (and the mask is already the perfect dark, moist environment for bacteria to flourish in!)

i saw somewhere, a doctor said if you have maskne, do not use salicylic acid but find product with zinc pca instead. i'm not sure the reason behind.
