fungal acne ;-;

I just discovered that I have fungal acne so what are your opinions on how to treat them? Also can you use oil based cleansers as your first cleanse when you have fungal acne?

Oily/Resilient

I've never had fungal acne but I know that there are certain ingredients that needs to be avoided in order to not make it worse. Certain oils, lipids, fatty acids and fermented ingredients all needs to be avoided as the fungus feeds on these. So I don't think you should use oil cleansers at the moment. I'll attach a few links from Picky and Cosrx regarding fungal acne that may help. https://blog.gopicky.com/picky-panel-fungal-acne/amp/ https://www.cosrx.com/blogs/news/picky-guide-fungal-acne-101

I've never tried using an oil based cleanser, but I wonder how it works. but getting yourself a dust bug and bed mite control will do you good. keeping your bed, couch, etc clean is very important

Oil based cleansers make me break out SO badly. I use micellar water to remove my sunscreen / makeup though Ketokanazole has been working for me and also using simple skincare sciences blog post about fungal acne to figure out what’s “safe” and “not safe” for my skincare. Also recommend the CosRx snail mucin , which is a holy grail product for me!
