Isotretinoin Skincare Routine

I have just started on isotretinoin/Accutane and am wanting some advice with my skincare routine. I’m only a fairly low dose of 10mg daily, but my skincare routine has some actives in it which I’m not sure I should use while on this medicine? I also want some advice on a good, non pore clogging sunscreen. My current routine is AM: -Cetaphil gentle cleanser -Pixi Glow Tonic (5% glycolic acid) -Cetaphil Moisturising lotion PM: -Tailor oil cleanse (to remove makeup) -Cetaphil gentle cleanser -AZclear lotion azelaic acid 20% -Cetaphil moisturising lotion - Benzac 5% on any active pimples I only use the benzac 5% on top of the azelaic acid if it’s a really bad pimple. Sometimes I skip the azelaic acid and just do moisturiser with benzac on top, other days I just do the azelaic acid and no benzac. Twice a week I use The ordinary AHA/BHA mask for 10 minutes as my skin can handle it. Any advice on altering this routine to help protect my skin barrier while I’m on accutane would be much appreciated. Also advice on a sunscreen that won’t make me break out. I’m New Zealand based so not all brands are available here. TIA XXX

Dry/Resilient

I am on topical tretinoin, but some of ky friends are on oral. Most of them complain really of dry mouth, eyes and skin. So more internally Eye drops, increase water consumption and some mouth lubricant may help depending on what symptoms you have plus light sensitivity which is a given with tretinoin I would think hold off with all actives especually the ordinary peeling solution for the mean time, until you can observe how you react to the medications. Your prescribing doctor can also advice you

definitely hold off on the ordinary peeling solution because the Accutane is going to do that for you. my only suggestion besides that would be to use Cerave instread of cetaphil this is just my personal preference.
