Redness and itchy skin

After almost more than a year, I again bought the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid and used it last night and followed up by a moisturizer. But today in the afternoon I felt a good amount of redness and itchy feeling in my skin around the cheeks. I am not sure if it is due to the BHA or what. Please help me to understand this and what should I do now ?🥺

Patch test for at least 24 hours on your inner arm before using again. See how the skin on your arm responds to the exfoliant. Meantime, better to switch to a basic routine so your skin barrier recovers soon.

Oh, what moisturizer did you use after the exfoliator? Please tag it. Perhaps there's an ingredient in the moisturizer that doesn't "agree" with the exfoliator.

I used this . It has fragrance in it . It never reacted before but I guess it reacted with BHA .
