Retinol for beginners

Hi friends!πŸ€πŸ•Š I am 3 months post Accutane and I had a bad experience with differin gel in 2019 due to bad purging. So what would be a good retinol to start with to improve skin texture and prevent breakouts?

Hey hun, welcome to Picky πŸ€— I've been using this gentle retinol serum for about 4 months. I use it twice a week. I've not experienced any irritation or purging, thankfully. Perhaps you'd like to consider it ☺️

I keep my routine simple when on retinol nights. After double cleansing, I'll apply toner. 15 mins later, I'll apply retinol followed by moisturizer. However in the beginning, after double cleansing, I'd apply toner & moisturizer. 20 mins later, I'd apply retinol followed by moisturizer again 15 mins later. I used sandwich πŸ₯ͺ method as I've got sensitive skin. I'd read sandwich method would help reduce irritation. It worked for me!
