I love them bc they tend to not irritate my skin or eyes. Right now I’m using this one by Benton and I love it 🥰 I have combo skin that gets dehydrated in the winter and this sunscreen is pretty emollient so it locks in all the moisture. But it’s not the thick gross kind like American sunscreens and it absorbs into the skin nicely!
It does have a Rosemary scent bc of the Rosemary extract but that doesn’t bother my skin. Rosemary is a good antibacterial and for anti-inflammation anyways.

I switched to mineral ss after experiencing eye-stinging and irritated skin while using chemical ss. This product is my first mineral ss and so far so good. Not only does it protecting but also helps me get rid of stubborn PIH as well as improves my skin texture. For the white cast case, as it also offers high protection, I always make sure my skin is hydrated enough by applying it over a moisturizer that has yet been thoroughly absorbed. It also becomes a crucial step as my skin will experience dryness if it is not properly hydrated before applying ss.

So mineral sunscreens have not let me down. I quite enjoy Australian gold tinted sunscreen!

I avoid them mainly for the whitecast it gives. They are usually heavier and mpre drying for me too.
so prefer organic or chemical spf

white cast is the main issue with mineral sunscreens. Appreciate your feedback!
