Slugging - how do you do it?

I have so many questions. What products do you use? How do you prepare? How do you avoid getting it everywhere while you sleep? Slugging pros, please give me your tips.

Hey there so I use vaseline this one in particular. Just do your normal basic routine and apply a THIN layer on your face. If I apply it like min. 30minutes before going to bed most of it is already 'absorbed' into my skin and it just feels like a face oil. If you're scared that that it will get on your bed there are silicon mask that you can put on top :)

It's great during winter, for colder times. We can do our pm skincare early, when the sun goes down, so our skin has more time to drink it up. I wouldn't suggest doing it immediately before sleeping unless you sleep with your face up! I think the whole point is to do it as soon as the sun goes down so your skin can recover after the cold day.

i agree with other comments, i usually do my skincare 3 or 4 hours before i sleep. like i do them before i start on my laptop or books. they does not only keep me refreshed and awake while working on my stuff, they also make my work less stressful and i dont get them anywhere in my bed when i sleep

It's a great idea. I'm trying this tonight! already got my slugging going. How much product would you say you use on the final step? I feel like I'm not looking very slug-like. Is that normal?

I make sure my face is damp after cleansing, then apply hyaluronic acid serum. after that's absorbed, I lightly spray my face with a mist and apply Vaseline lotion (not the jelly) while my face is damp from the mist. I make sure to rub in the lotion then tap it in as well. I try to slug an hour before going to bed and then I try to sleep only on my back the nights I do it. I'm hoping to invest in silk blankets (already have a silk pillowcase) to avoid having sheets stick to my face :)
