Jojoba oil vs (vegan) squalane oil

🌿Jojoba and squalane oil are known to have similar structure to skin compositions. 🌿Both are non comedogenic, good at keeping skin hydrated, and blend well with other products (can be used for diluting strong actives, or make light moisturizer a bit thicker). 🌿That said, jojoba oil has an antioxidant benefit compare to squalane. 🌿Originally, squalane oil were derived from shark liver. But now, there are vegan options derived from sugarcane or olive. Has anyone try these two oils? From your experience, which one do you prefer and why? Do you have any favourite brand? Thanks for sharing 😊

I had only tried the jojoba oil, not the squalane so I can't make a comparison. Jojoba is good to calm down your acne that's by far I know bcuz I can't stand the oiliness so I didn't continue to use it 😂

Some folks use it on their hands for countering the hand washing effects due to the pandemic. You might give it a try. Thanks for sharing 😊

I use both as squalane is a dry oil and doesn't leave an oily look so it's good for day time. Jojoba only in the PM routine as it's more occlusive - it can block pores sometimes when used with other products. Both are great, especially if someone just need a little extra in the winter months when the usual moisturiser isn't quite enough 👌✨

Some people just don't like the oily look/feel, I personally don't mind in the PM routine 👌

I've tried squalane oil from Purito. As I have oily skin, I would only use it at night. Though it works good for sealing moisture but my oily skin doesn't feel comfortable with the oil layer on top. Dry skin may give it a try :)
