Strange scent - Midnight Blue Calming Cream

Hello! I started patch testing the Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream (in a jar) a few days ago. I haven't had a reaction, but I'm puzzled by the chlorine scent. It smells a bit like pool water. I didn't read many reviews commenting about a strange scent, so I was wondering if I got a weird batch. Does your jar also have a chlorine-type smell? Thank you!

Have you ever used the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser? It smells the same way and there is not chlorine or anything in it. It is just the mixture of ingredients that give it that smell. There is nothing actually wrong with the cream or anything that is going to hurt your skin

I think Dear Klairs is overrated. their cleansing oil broke me out. leaves a greasy film and difficult to get it off
