What is stearic acid and is it bad for oily acne prone skin?

Hi lovelies! Would appreciate it if you share what you know about stearic acid. It's an ingredient found in certain products. I believe it has the potential to clog pores. How has your skin react to it? 🤔

It depends on your skin actually. Stearic acid may cause allergic reactions in people with sensitive skin and is considered somewhat comedogenic (pore clogging).

Hi sister .. I know little about stearic acid, it is a saturated fatty acid obtained from vegetable or animal fat. stearic acid, a safe chemical, commonly used in skincare and make-up products. the benefits are to lock in moisture, make the skin look smoother and foundation can absorb perfectly. but staric acid is not recommended for sensitive skin, sometimes it causes allergies and redness and is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women
