Have any of you know what actually citric acid? How it perform on your skin? Thanks 🙏 i recently use skincare products that contain citric acid and my skin so hurt and sting. On the next, there's redness on my face

It comes from citrus fruit and a form of AHA in SOME formulation. However since glycolic, lactic and other acids in the AHA family does a better job, it is now demoted to a pH adjuster to keep product in the right pH for the formulation what product are you using that has citric acid that is irritating to you?
