A way to reuse serums if the dropper becomes compromised!
I recently dropped my Hyaluronic acid serum dropper on dirty sweaty clothes being clumbsy… I didn’t want to use it on my face anymore because of bacteria but I also didn’t want to waste the rest of the bottle. So I’ve been mixing it in with my body lotion and wowwwww my skin has been so soft and hydrated!!! Great way to repurpose a serum I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten much more use out of!
I know I could have still used it on my face but I couldn’t get past the fact that it been on my dirty clothes. It was a cheaper HA serum too so I didn’t feel too bad not using on my face!
Edit: to everyone saying I could have just disinfected the dropper: yes obviously I could have. Unfortunately I was not thinking about that before I put the dropper back into the bottle, thus compromising the serum. It was probably still safe to use too but I was worried abt the bacteria spreading & didn’t want to use on my face anymore so this was just my way of not wasting the half bottle I had left.
This happened 2-3 months ago and at this point I only have one or two droppers full of serum left & it’s been working really well on my body so I will probably continue to use on my body after the bit I have left is used up. & I have disinfected other serum droppers after this, it was just too late this time. :) thank you for all the advice!
