Have you been diagnosed by a dermatologist? I only ask because I have rosacea too but I don’t experience any bumps or thickening of the skin. Azelaic Acid is the best ingredient at getting rid of redness. If yours isn’t mild you may want to go to the derm and get a prescription for 15-20% strength but the highest OTC strength is 10%.

yes officially diagnosed with rosacea by a derm. I was prescribed azelaic acid as well but the 15% seems too strong. so yes I actually have ordered the ordinary to see if it's lighter in strength for me. there are different types of rosacea or different degrees of it as well. on a typical basis I don't have raised areas but on some of my worse flair ups, it has.

You mentioned that you are prescribed the 15% AA gel and that it seems too strong. Out of curiosity have you used it yet?
I am currently using the Finacea AA 15% and it is my HG. Changed my skin for the way better.

I have mild rosacea, no skin hardening or bumps, but I can get some pretty bad redness flair ups. Azelaic acid is for sure what has helped me the most, I use the one from Naturium. My skin also really likes hemp seed oil and CBD, it helps with the redness as well. I moisturize like crazy and use very gentle and soothing ingredients like ceramides, green tea, aloe, cucumber, licorice root. Avoid retinols and glycolic acid. I also use the Procure Rosacare sheet masks once a week and those have been really great for reducing redness as well. There is a lot of essence left over after I use the sheet mask, so I save it and use it throughout the week as well. It’s very light and soothing. They are not on Picky, so I included a pic. I buy them on Amazon, which is an authorized seller.
