By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. How is your routine like?

Hi lovelies 🥰 A while ago I asked some of your thoughts regarding chemical exfoliants. A few of you recommended me some good products. I decided to looked it up and learn more about these actives. While I do have oily acne prone skin, my main concern right now is hyperpigmentation. As most of us know the dark spots from acne will take quite a while to fade away. I'm already using a Niacinamide serum so to speed things up a little bit, I have decided to give By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid a try. I thought of giving it a try 1-2 times a week and using it only at night. What are your thoughts? Also, if I use it at night do I still have to use SPF at home? How's your routine like?

I have this. Whatever type of exfoliant you use you should only use at night and always use sunscreen everyday. Especially AHA like this mandelic acid. AHA causes photosensitivity to your skin so your more prone to sun burn three times as much as without AHA. Also note exfoliants needs to be used on dry skin, as damp or wet skin makes your skin permeable thus speeds absorption. You dont want that, Chemical exfoliants and retinol you want slow and steady

double cleanse as normal wait for your skin to dry before mandelic so either pat it in or use a cotton round. wait maybe 5mins as soon as its not moist anymore before proceeding with the next step. Toner or essence after is really a personal choice, you can use a calming ampoule like mugwort or centella to lessen the irritation if any.

I've used this before and it's one of my favourite gentle exfoliating toners. Whenever you use an exfoliant you should always apply sunscreen especially if it's an aha since ahas cause photosensitivity which makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.

Sure! I use it like this: Double cleanse - mandelic acid - hydrating essence - serum - moisturizer. ❤️
