Fragrance in Cleansers?

I'm aware fragrances are bad for the skin and my routine doesn't include any rn. But I'm looking for a cleansing oil/balm and the ones available in the market in my country (India) all have fragrance. I've tried looking for good ones without fragrances, but they are either too expensive for daily use or they simply don't sell them here 😭 So I'm just wondering if it's not as bad to use cleansing balms/oils with fragrance because it's a wash off treatment??? and if anyone has good recs pls help

Hey! I think I'm going to be the odd one out here but I'm going to say that fragrance isn't a bad thing. I feel like people tend to forget that skincare is also a sensorial experience and the scent of the product may make or break your experience. Especially with cleansing products where you might take your time and massage your face and relax. Like you said it's a wash-off product and It's going to be your first cleanse so most likely after you use your second cleanser, the scent most likely will be washed off. Fragrance is not always bad, sometimes it can be light and subtle to mask the raw ingredient smell of the product. Giving it a pleasant almost neutral smell. Or sometimes it's added in for the scent and some people love scents in their products. I think you should just find one that works for you and that you like using. I'll tag some products that I know are fragrance free.

I think it depends on the formula. I have sensitive skin and try to avoid any fragrance but my cleansing foam and oil have fragance and haven't had any bad experience.

i have sensitive skin and I tolerate cleansers with fragrance because it’s only on the skin for a small amount of time before rinsing off i do enjoy the sensorial experience of putting on my skin something that smells nice and it’s actually perfect because then I can rinse it off :)

right!?? i also found it hard to find cleansing oils/balms without fragrance!! the nivea cleansing oil (purple) doesnt have fragrance so thats an affordable option. but imo, that cleasing oil is def not my fav. i think the inkey list cleansing balm is also without fragance, not sure.
